Gray is a city and the county seat of Jones County, Georgia. It is part of the Macon Metropolitan Area. According to the US Census Bureau, the city covers 6.2 square kilometers. The city is home to 3,294 people. The population density is 532 people per square kilometer. Gray came into being in 1905 and the rails were laid here previously in the 1880s.
